NMPCA Annual Meeting

  • 06 Jun 2015
  • 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM
  • Business Printing Service, 4316 Silver Ave SE, Albuquerque, NM

Registration

  • You don't have to register.

Registration is closed

The NMPCA has an annual meeting, by preference and by rule of our bylaws. Meeting doesn’t really describe the event, but we can’t put “Fun Time” in the bylaws.   No registration is necessary and the event is free.

Annual Meeting

Come and have fun!  We'll meet each other, swap stories of clay glory, talk about what we want to happen in NMPCA in the coming year, and maybe even tell some jokes.  We will review the applications for the Armstrong Grant and determine which is most worthy of the award.

Main dish will be provided.  Please bring your favorite salad or desert dish to share.

We will have a pottery exchange, so bring a cup, bowl or small piece to give.  You will receive a unique piece in return.

Date:  June 6, 2015

Time:  11:00 am to 2:00 pm
Location:  Business Printing Service
                  4316 Silver Avenue SE, Albuquerque

Read more about what's happening in the organization on the latest "President's Message" in The Slip Trail.

Every year at the Annual Meeting, we acknowledge and thank board and committee members for their contributions and elect new board members.

The bylaws call for a nominating committee to prepare a "slate" of candidates for election to the board.  This was announced to the membership 20 days prior to the annual meeting on 5/18. The nominating committee for this year is Leonard Baca and Judy Nelson-Moore.

Nominations for the 2015-16 Board

New or returning NMPCA board members to be elected for three-year term:

                Barbara Campbell, El Rito

                Amanda Miller, Albuquerque

                Linda Brewer, Silver City

Existing board members to be re-elected for 2nd three-year term:

                Leonard Baca

                Lee Akins

Per the bylaws, nominations for board members can be accepted from the membership at the meeting.  The person being nominated must be present at the meeting.

Things to Bring:

Bring a cup, small bowl, or similarly sized piece you have made for an exchange.

If you have a favorite desert  or salad recipe, bring dish of it to share.

Leonard has some pedestals at the office, so if you want, you can bring one piece of your's to display (must fit on a pedestal).
